Huma Abedin (born Huma Mahmood Abedin, July 28, 1976) is an American political staffer who was vice chair of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign under chairman John Podesta and her former deputy chief of staff when Clinton was US Secretary of State (2009-2013). She was also married to Representative Anthony Weiner who gained infamy for sexting a minor.
